Celebrating Star Wars Day: a tribute to the force

Star Wars Day is celebrated on May 4th, a saga that has fascinated generations and continues to fascinate people of all ages year after year. But why this celebration today? Why was today chosen internationally for Star Wars Day?

We are, of course, talking about the Star Wars universe, from the original trilogy to the sequels and the series that have been added and will continue to enrich and complete its complex yet captivating story: Andor, The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka, one of the latest live-action series announced by Star Wars and currently in production.

There’s no better day to dive into this stellar world because today, May 4th, is Star Wars Day. But why this particular date for the celebration? No other date could better pay homage to one of the most famous lines from the saga: “May the Force be with you.”

In English, the phrase for today, May 4th, is “may the fourth,” hence the playful pun, “may the fourth be with you.” Quite ingenious, right?

Happy Star Wars Day to all fans. May the Force be with you (of course)!
