TIME and Statista have published their list of the world’s most sustainable companies for 2024, evaluating their environmental initiatives and achievements.
Methodology for evaluating sustainability
The rigorous methodology used to assess the most sustainable companies of 2024 includes several criteria. These criteria encompass adherence to respected climate programs, including the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) scores, Scope 1 and 2 emissions, recent reductions in emissions, and the percentage of renewable energy used. Companies that have integrated sustainability into their business models received particular recognition.
Schneider Electric leads the pack
Schneider Electric, headquartered in France, tops the list due to its ambitious emission reduction goals and its support for clients in improving energy efficiency. The company has earned a climate score of “A” from the CDP for 12 consecutive years.
