Jennifer Aniston launches “The Clydeo Fund” to save animals worldwide

Jennifer Aniston has launched a fund to support animal shelters, many of which are overburdened and struggling financially

Jennifer Aniston, one of Hollywood’s most respected actors and long-time animal rights supporter, has launched a new charity called “The Clydeo Fund” to help animal rescues globally.

The initiative comes in tandem with her first children’s book, entitled Clydeo Takes a Bite Out of Life, about the adventures of Clyde, one of her beloved dogs. It is the first of a planned series of four books designed to teach young readers appreciation for animals and finding passions.

Aniston has been adopting dogs over the period of time. The Clydeo Fund was created to give financial funding to the organizations which were into rescuing the animals in distress, providing resources for their rehabilitation, and promotion of adoption efforts.

Shelter fund raiser with her book

Aniston wishes that her fund would serve as an inspiration to people and to donate whatever amount they can, even just a dollar, to these animals whose needs for love and care are so high. This new venture is part of the Entertainment Industry Foundation-a platform connecting celebrities with charitable causes with the aim of creating a positive social impact.

Aniston made clear how support to animal shelters, which are so overwhelmed and poorly financed, is crucial. She has indicated that there are simply too many animals that get euthanized just because the shelters cannot keep up with the demand.

She hopes that, with the fund, fewer healthy dogs would be euthanized for lack of resources. Aniston’s book, inspired by her dog Clyde, is not just a sweet story for children; it’s also a tool to help raise awareness and generate funds.

Each sale and donation that will be made for the Clydeo Fund will change the lives of so many animals that are just waiting to get a family. Aniston made it a point to encourage people with the adoption of animals by sharing just how much she loves her adopted dogs and their addition to her life. She takes this project as an opportunity to involve not only her fans and people who love animals but also youngsters, inspiring them to contribute and take on this chance and find out just how wonderful it feels to save an animal from distress.

Five nordic secrets to a better life: simple words, profound wisdom

Almost untranslatable words that express, in a few letters, the philosophy of life of Northern Europe. From the most famous to the lesser known ones

From Finland to Norway, Denmark to Iceland, what’s the secret to living better in Northern Europe? Five nearly unpronounceable words encapsulate deep life lessons in just a few letters.

Sisu

Let’s start with Finland, where the secret for a fulfilling life resides in the word “Sisu.” The term can be described as that inner strength driving us through battles, the courage and perseverance to win, knowing full well that it is the journey that counts, not its end. Sisu is the power inside us all that enables us to resist even the most ruthless of challenges and get us back on track when all seems to have gone awry.

Hygge

Is it a coincidence that Danes constantly rank among the happiest people in the world? Or maybe their secret is Hygge, the feeling of cosiness and comfort which makes every place and every moment special? Who knows! Anyway, learning the Danish art of living well won’t hurt for sure-there’s plenty to be inspired by.

Þetta reddast

From Denmark on to Iceland, where everything somehow sorts itself out. The phrase Þetta reddast carries the message of approaching difficulties optimistically, trusting life: whatever happens, it is for good in the long run. Car broke down in the middle of nowhere? Haven’t studied for that exam? No problem, Þetta reddastit’ll be OK!

Friluftsliv

Friluftsliv: a big Norwegian word that is, in fact, derived from three words: free, air, and life. What does it mean? It is the art of living outdoors; it reflects the great bond between Norwegians and nature. In fact, in 1957, Norway even passed a law governing people’s rights and responsibilities with regard to outdoor living and the use of nature.

Lagom

The Swedish formula for the better, happier life is managed to be encapsulated in one beautiful word: Lagom. This lifestyle stresses social awareness, moderation, and sustainability, all guided by balance with a healthy dose of restraint.
