Little Olivia, 5 years old, is determined to make people understand how those animals locked up in cages are subjected to bitter suffering, torn from their freedom to be forced to perform.

“Animals have to be free, animals have to be free,” Olivia repeats, holding a tiny megaphone.
Olivia is only 5 years old but has a golden heart. She recently demonstrated outside a circus in Novara, Italy, to register her indignation at the exploitation and use of animals.
Why? Because it’s simple, and everyone knows it: animals don’t perform for amusement reasons because they want to. They perform out of necessity—living in fear and suffering, torn from the wild, put in cages, and made to perform unnatural actions for our sake.

“Don’t go, little girl!” Olivia shouts at a little girl making her way down to the entrance of the circus.
The protest is to be replicated on March 15, reports Italian newspaper La Stampa, with another group of protesters.
Circus organizers deny the accusations meantime: “We treat no animals harshly; a zebra was born last week.”
