The Australian Firefighters, the famous and beautiful Australian firefighters, return to pose for Christmas and to raise funds for charity

@australianfirefighterscalendar
Every year, the Australian Firefighters Calendar gives us an opportunity to admire strength and beauty for a good cause. Beyond showcasing the fitness and resilience of its stars, the calendar supports a wide range of charitable projects that help people in need both within Australia and abroad.
A tradition that began in 1993
First launched in 1993, the calendar is a very specific example of how solidarity and awareness can be created through visual storytelling, combined with financial support. In every edition, Australian firefighters are depicted in athletic and symbolic postures that underpin their physical fitness and commitment.
The photos highlight the commitment of emergency responders who go in harm’s way every year to protect people and Australia’s natural environment. The images often feature Australian wildlife, including koalas, ducklings, and goats, thus bringing the nature, rescuers, and causes together.
Two US Firefighters take part in the 2025 calendar
In its years of existence, the Australian Firefighters Calendar has managed to raise more than $3.4 million for several non-profit organizations. Beneficiaries have included the Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital in New South Wales for the conservation and rehabilitation of wildlife; Healing Hooves, a pet therapy program which rehabilitates horses destined for slaughter; and the Kids with Cancer Foundation, supporting families whose children have been diagnosed with cancer. Medical care was financed as well as rehabilitation programs, wildlife conservation efforts, and direct assistance given to families in need.
The 2025 edition includes two American guest firefighters: Alijah Johnson from the state of Virginia and Jacob Hacker from Ohio. Their participation underlines the growing international popularity of the calendar, supported by social media and online platforms.
Besides the philanthropic value of such an event, the calendar shoots are displaying the beauty of nature and how intricate the relationship between people and Australia’s unique wildlife is. It shows firefighters cuddling puppies and kittens or simply hanging with iconic species like koalas and kangaroos.
It is released every year in several themed editions: Heroes Calendar, Mixed Animals Calendar, Horse Calendar, Dog Calendar, and Cat Calendar. The Christmas edition is very popular during the holiday season, when firefighters love to tease sneak peeks on social media.
