Leading the chart is Munich, Germany, which has climbed four spots since 2023, shining bright in terms of safety and gender equality. Close on its heels is Madrid, Spain, securing the second position with its absence of legal discrimination and a notably safe environment, scoring a perfect 100 in the Georgetown Institute index.
Making a significant leap, London, United Kingdom, jumps 14 positions to secure the third spot. The British capital is celebrated for its vast tourist attractions and safety, boasting over 112 billion views on TikTok.
Lisbon, Portugal, finds itself just shy of the podium, acclaimed for being a safe and affordable city for solo travelers. Barcelona, Spain, rounds out the top five, offering an exceptional tourist experience along with a secure environment for women travelers.
Positions 6 to 10 (with a surprise)
Outside the top five but still making a mark is Dubai, United Arab Emirates, known for its safety and a plethora of tourist opportunities. Chiang Mai, Thailand, takes the seventh spot, recognized for its safety and daily travel costs that won’t break the bank.
Amsterdam, Netherlands, follows next, offering a welcoming atmosphere and exceptional gender equality. Copenhagen, Denmark, stands out for its safety and female-friendly environment. Lastly, Hanoi, Vietnam, secures the tenth position, providing a unique experience with affordable costs and a safe environment.
